The cable is hardwired into an always-on power lead so my GPS doesn't turn off everytime I turn off my Jeep, I have a hard time remembering to turn it back on. I made the mount out of a sheet of stainless obtained from Lowe's (because it's stiffer than other sheets that were there). I just used hand tools and the corner of my steps to bend and cut the metal. Thanks to Mike again for donating the rubber edging. The mount is bolted using the same bolts that hold the plastic dash down.

The power cable was made by a connector obtained from pfranc.com (cool "Sharehardware" project), and Con had somebody at his work solder it up for me. Thanks Con!
